Achievements

November 26, 2009 marked a year since Russian Valuation Service opened an office at 26 Pravda Street. This year — the time of establishing the company — has passed extraordinarily quickly because it has been filled with a large quantity of events. It was a year of hard work for a great number of people. It was a year of our first successes.

We consider the creation of an amicable and professional collective of appraisers, perhaps, as our most important achievement. In a short space of time we managed to equip a modern and convenient office for work, which was appreciated both by our employees and numerous visitors.

This year more than 70 Russian and international companies became our clients. It is especially pleasing that those who have been acquainted with us for this short time believed in our potentialities — Acron, Holding «Russian Grain», Messe Dusseldorf, Russian Academy of Sciences, Mositalmed, SIBUR-Holding, Stroytransgaz, GK «Systematika», the Neva Operating Company and others. We doubly appreciate the trust of our old friends and colleagues.

Russian Valuation Service (in accordance with the experience of its founders) has been initially focused on the valuation of assets for IFRS. In this sector of valuation activity reputation is especially important. Recognized auditing companies such as PwC, KPMG, BDO, Baker Tilly and Rusaudit recommend the services of our company to their clients. We perceive this fact as the acknowledgement of quality services of RVS.

In the present conditions of an uneasy economic situation all banks are showing extra caution. And we are pleased that some of them, e.g Alfa-Bank, Svedbank and Sotsgorbank have become our direct clients, and others, such as Gazprombank, Nomos-Bank, Bank St.-Petersburg, the Moscow branch of Sberbank, Bank UniCredit and IFC, use our valuation and consulting reports in their activities.

We have been developing other types of services: financial consultation, pre-investment research, surveying and engineering services, seminar conducting. We are pleased that our seminars on estimation for IFRS are popular — more than 80 participants have visited them already, and the geographical location of these seminars is constantly expanding.

Employees of Russian Valuation Service conduct active research work. In 2009 alone some works have been published in magazines such as Mergers and Acquisitions, RWAY, Voprosy Otsenki and on the web portal Appraiser.ru.

This year we have increased our staff by 50%, and we have become members of the noncommercial partnership of the Russian Society of Appraisers, accredited appraiser AFC «Systema» and some banks. The civil liability of our appraisers is insured by OJSIC «Ingosstrah» for a sum of more than 280 million roubles. Legal software of Microsoft, Thomson Reuters and Kaspersky's Laboratory are used in our office.
